Chuuk Lagoon Battlefield is a project sponsored by Bill Jeffrey along with colleagues from the University of Guam and Australia. This project started in June 2023 and will continue for another four years. The purpose of this project, is to help Chuuk HPO put up signs describing or summarizing each Historical Sites here in Chuuk State. Chuuk Battlefield along with Chuuk HPO also work with each other conducting site surveys and recording oral stories about the history of Chuuk. The project also helped Chuuk HPO with capacity building.
